Overview
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) provide a life-changing opportunity for students to pursue a fully-funded two-year Master’s degree in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country.
Designed for individuals dedicated to creating positive change in their communities, QECS scholars will benefit from cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and the chance to develop a global network that lasts a lifetime.
By addressing shared global challenges, QECS scholars actively contribute to their home and host countries’ development.
Applications for QECS 2025 open twice annually:
- Cycle 1: November/December
- Cycle 2: March/April
Applicants can submit one application per cycle but are welcome to reapply in subsequent cycles for other host countries.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
- Fully-funded tuition fees.
- Living allowance (stipend) for the duration of the award.
- Return economy flights to the host country.
- One-off arrival allowance.
- Research Support Grant (available on request, subject to approval).

- Explore the list of eligible countries and universities hosting QECS scholarships for this cycle.
- Visit your chosen university’s website for detailed course information.
- Submit your QECS application via the Apply Now link. Create a myACU account if you don’t have one.
- Simultaneously, apply for admission to your selected university and course.
