Overview
Applications are now open for the University of Nottingham’s Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2025. This prestigious program offers tuition fee scholarships of 50% or 100% to exceptional students from Africa, India, and select Commonwealth countries.
Established in 2001, the Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship aims to empower international students who are committed to driving development in their home countries. For 2025, the University of Nottingham will award 105 scholarships covering 50% or 100% of tuition fees for full-time master’s programs.
Eligible Countries
The scholarship is open to students from:
- Africa (all nations)
- Asia & the Commonwealth: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Reside in Africa, India, or one of the eligible Commonwealth countries listed above.
- Be classified as an overseas student for tuition purposes.
- Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s program (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham in September or October 2025. Eligible faculties include:
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Social Sciences
Ineligibility Criteria
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
- Are a current student or graduate of the University of Nottingham.
- Have previously studied outside your home country.
- Are currently studying in the UK.
Application Process
How to Apply
To apply for this scholarship, follow these steps:
- Apply for and secure an offer to study a full-time master’s program (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham. You can search for courses here and learn how to apply here.
- Once you receive your offer, submit your scholarship application through the scholarships section in the MyNottingham application portal.
- If you have an offer for an MRes program, contact the scholarships team via email at scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for additional application instructions.
